Forex Trading Platforms

Dealing with the Forex market dictates that you use Forex trading platforms. These platforms can be stand alone, web only or traded via a smart phone. Many different brokerage firms will have different platforms that they can use in order to connect you to the Forex market. Most of these will be computer based such as PC. However, there are a few that will work with the Mac computer. The requirements will be different as to the computer basics such as memory, processing speed, RAM, ROM and available disk space on your hard drive.

If you are using Forex Platforms you will need to also understand that for computer trading or web trading, you will have to have a high speed internet connection in order to trade. If you are trading by smart phone, you still need internet connection to trade. The trading platform on a phone will not be the same as one on a computer. Mobile trading will have less than a computer platform due to restrictions. With that being said, what kinds of trading platforms are out there for traders to use? Some of the answers will surprise you to say the least.

Some of these names for Forex Trading Platforms are recognizable, while others are not so well-known. MetaTrader 3, 4 and 5, AvaFX, DealBook, eToro, Thinkorswim, ForexTrader Pro, and many others are available for use with different brokers. It is going to be dependent on which broker you are working with as to which type of platform will be available. Not all brokers offer automated trading or mobile trading, you are going to need to be alert for this fact. Each one of the platforms named is popular to use especially the MetaTrader, eToro and DealBook. Others will be specific to the trading firm you are working with.

Forex platforms come in all shapes and sizes. The choice will depend, as said before on the broker you work with. Many do use the MT trading platform. Some Forex brokers, however, have not chosen to do this. Each platform will have strengths and weaknesses. Take an informed look at some reviews that have been done on these platforms first. The one that will work best for you may also include the capacity to use EA’s or expert advisors. However, some traders are finding that certain robots are banned from their account. If you wish to use a robot with your account and trading platform, you may need to ask your broker first.
